The New Zealand Private Surgical Hospitals Association (NZPSHA) was established in 2005 to represent the interests of private surgical hospitals’ within New Zealand. Members were previously represented by the New Zealand Private Hospitals Association (NZPHA).
NZPSHA promotes excellence in healthcare and our mission is promoting, positioning and connecting the private surgical hospital sector in New Zealand.
NZPSHA members provide procedures for approximately 164,000 patients every year representing around 60% of all elective surgery performed in New Zealand. That proportion of elective surgery is growing in response to the increasing needs of New Zealand’s ageing population and the constraints on the ability of the public sector to meet those needs.
